This is your typical Filipino eatery. Its cafeteria style with all the classic favourites. I live close by and this is my go to place. There is a lot of days when I dont feel like cooking and Susan's makes this real easy not to. You can get a combo meal with 2 entrees with your choice of rice or pancit for a real affordable price. They give you a good portion too. The service was is excellent but they can get busy but they always try their best. This is mainly a dind, takeout and catering business but they have some seating available to eat in. They have two banquet rooms too for functions if needed. As a Filipino and a local to Virginia Beach, if youre looking for one of the best, Susan's is a must try.

9/10 times I usually don't have the chance to take a picture of my food because it's gone way before I take out my phone. This place is solid Filipino food. Talk about filling your box, I mean my food was filled to the brim. I usually get the dinuguan and the monggo here, but boy, they do have a lot more of the classics. The line during lunch is always full, but they do go pretty fast. Nice to have a seating area as well. Did I mention Karaoke ? MAN. This place has it all.

The food was amazing. The combo plates allow everyone in the party to sample many of the flavorful authentic dishes. Lumpia fresh, tasty chicken adobo and delicious menudo. The lady's at counter remained helpful & fast with a line out the door.

This place has people lined up out the door on a Friday night in order to get their take away to take home of the best pancit and lumpia for the price. For seven dollars you can get a full stacked plate of pancit and three lumpia, although we always get an entire other container of lumpia because there's no way that anyone is going to just eat one or two of those delicious morsels. They have various stews and items like fried fish, as well as a cold case with desserts, including items made with Ube. The most fun aspect though is that in the banquet room right next-door sometimes they have karaoke going on, so consider this one of those hidden gems that you'll find off the beaten path here in Virginia Beach. What many people don't know about this area is that there is a large filipino population, and we really celebrate and Enjoy, living in a place with such a rich and diverse food community.

I went to Susan's Kitchenette for a surprise 50th birthday party. Our party was in one of the banquet rooms and the room itself was a decent size where you can easily fit 100 guests with a dance floor. And as a guest, I sat very comfortably at one of the tables. The staff was very attentive throughout the night taking out trash, picking up empty plates, making sure the food trays were not empty. There were a lot of food options available and they were all very delicious!

I ordered diniguan, menudo, two fried bangus, and a slice of royal bibingka. I'm particular about other people's Filipino cooking, but I must say that the diniguan and menudo tasted like my grandma's cooking. However, the fried bangus was a bit overcooked, and the royal bibingka cake was dry, almost like chewing rubber. The service was okay, but I felt a bit rushed through the line, hence I did not get any photo shot of the food. I saw two dining areas, but the ambiance was very basic without any distinguishing features. Overall, I enjoyed my experience! I would like to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Well. Went here because we wanted some Filipino food. Met with family. The lumpia was good. The pancit was great. The Tocino was fantastic. Everyone was so nice. The only thing I didn't like was the adobo. It had a good flavor but the chicken bones were out of control and trying to kill me. The bathroom floor was also very wet. People were so nice and karaoke began. Very very affordable. I would definitely get food from here again.

The food is too good to be true and the only thing better than the food is the hospitality. The atmosphere comes across as a friend's home and not a restaurant. When regulars welcome you like you've been there before you know it's good. The pancit was extraordinary and the lumpia was so good I ordered 10 to go. And if you're a karaoke beast be prepared to battle. People were so good when I first walked in I thought it was the radio. I have never been to the Philippines, but I have many Filipino friends and Suzanne's is just as good as their mom's.

One of my favorite places for Filipino food. I like that it's cafeteria style so I can get my food quickly. They give you huge portions for a low price! I'd recommend the chicken adobo, pancit, and lumpia! The beef stew is great as well!
